MDM Custom Remodeling Inc

MDM Custom Remodeling Inc operates out of Los Angeles, which puts them well outside my Santa Barbara County wheelhouse—that's an eighty-mile commute minimum, and in my experience, distance matters when you need a contractor on-site quickly for punch-list items or warranty callbacks. They carry a perfect 5.0 rating on Houzz across 25 reviews, which is encouraging, though I'd want to see more recent feedback; the data here doesn't show me individual review dates or themes, so I can't tell you whether that track record reflects work from last month or five years ago.

Their service list is sparse—just "General Remodeling"—and the single project photo shows a closet system, which doesn't give me much insight into the scope or quality of their finish carpentry, tile work, or structural capabilities. They maintain an active social presence across multiple platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, which suggests they're documenting their work, but without concrete examples of completed kitchens, baths, or whole-home renovations, it's hard for me to assess whether they're the right fit for a significant Santa Barbara project. If you're considering them, ask for a local reference list and clarify travel-time costs upfront—that LA-to-SB distance will show up somewhere in your estimate.
