David Moreno’s take

David Moreno
Santa Barbara Roof Company is too new to the local scene for me to give you a confident read. They've got a single five-star Google review from late 2024—enthusiastic but not enough to establish a pattern—and no Houzz feedback yet. Their project photos show technical details like exhaust vents, baffles, heat cables, and splash blocks, which suggests they're thinking about ventilation and water management, not just shingle slapping. The "certified-crew" and "warranty-roof" images hint at proper training and manufacturer backing, both good signs in a town where salt air eats cheap work in five years.

What's missing is track record. I can't point to a dozen satisfied Montecito tile-roof clients or emergency Thomas Fire replacements the way I could with established outfits. If you're considering them, ask directly about their crew's experience with Santa Barbara's coastal challenges—moisture intrusion, wind-driven rain, that relentless UV. Request references from jobs older than six months. They may turn out to be solid; I just don't have the evidence yet to tell you they've earned their place alongside the roofers I'd call for my own house in Samarkand.
