Ayala's Creative Carpet Repair is a Santa Barbara flooring specialist working out of a Canon Perdido Street location. The name tells you what you're getting—this is a focused operation, not a full-service flooring showroom. Roberto and Roberto Jr. handle the work themselves, which matters when you need someone who can assess damage honestly rather than upsell you.
The single Google review sits at five stars, and the detail stuck with me: a client came in expecting a cut-and-bind job on a cat-damaged shag rug, and the Ayalas recommended a simpler latex edge treatment that saved money. That's the kind of practical judgment I respect—recognizing when half a rug is already lost and steering toward the sensible fix. The review is from 2023, so the data's thin, but the honesty signal is clear.
The company handles carpet work alongside natural stone and ceramic installations based on the project images, suggesting they've got broader flooring skills than the "repair" name implies. Without recent reviews or a stronger online presence, I can't vouch for timeline reliability or how they handle complex jobs, but the existing evidence points to straightforward, no-nonsense service. If you need carpet patching or binding in Santa Barbara and want someone who won't automatically push the expensive option, they're worth a call.
